The Epid of Gildamesh vs. Mongolia Flood Myth

The flood from The Epic of Gildamesh is similar and different to the Mongolia flood story. Hailibu, from the Mongolia flood story, and Utnapishtim, from The Epic of Gildamesh, were both warned about the flood in different ways; Hailibu saved the Dragon King's daughter from a predator and in return, the Dragon Kind gave Hailibu a stone that would allow him to communicate with animals. However, Utnapishtim, was warned by the gods for no real reason, Utnapishtim wasn't supposed to know about the flood.  Another difference is how Utnapishtim didn't warn anyone about the flood, he kept it to himself. Unlike Utnapishtim, Hailibu warned his people about the flood. A similarity is both Hailibu and Utnapishtim had a punishment, Hailibu was turned to stone because Hailibu was warned by the Dragon King to not tell people about the stone but Hailibu had to since no one believed him the first time when he told his people that a flood was coming. Utnapishtim  was not supposed to survive the flood so the gods cursed him with immortality.
